It looks like we are set for our January Goddess Event on Friday, January 16th.

We can meet at Michelle's house at 5:30 PM for a few munchies before we hit the road. We can leave around 6:15 or so getting to Sacramento for some evening time skating. If we feel up to it after our skating adventure, we can warm up with some cocktails at Three Monkeys :)

The cost of the skating is $8 for two hours (including skates). The only other expense would be your personal bill at Three Monkeys.

The rink does close pending weather conditions. I have a hotline number we can call before leaving to ensure that it is open. If the weather is not in our favor, I recommend we jump straight to the cocktails at a local establishment :)

Paintball Battle

We survived our paintball battle with only a few bumps and bruises. There were some definite snipers among us! It was more fun than we expected and made for lots of laughs over pizza and beer. What a great day!

Extreme Paintball

We are set for our paintball battle on Sunday, October 19th at Extreme Paintball! We will meet at Michelle's House at 8:15 and carpool together to the field in Modesto.

Our excursion will be from 9:00AM - 12:30PM. The cost per person will be $35 which includes gun, air, goggles, safety masks, and 600 paintballs each. I have also requested chest protectors which they are willing to provide, thank goodness!

It is recommended that we wear long pants, long sleeve shirts, and tennis shoes. Nothing you don't mind being splattered, of course! When I asked if it hurt, I was told it depends on individual pain levels.....YIKES! SORRY I ASKED! She said it feels like being hit by a rubber band.

If we can get a group of 10 they will make us a PRIVATE GROUP! That would be preferable to being targets for a bunch of pre-teen boys! Normally they require a group of 15 to be private, but, they are being kind to the Goddesses. This is not the event to miss or you will be subjecting your fellow Goddesses to target practice! :-)

Following our battle, we will stop for pizza and beer to compare our battle wounds!

Simply Fondue

A great evening for the Goddesses at Simply Fondue in Livermore. We had the FULL COURSE meal of salad, cheese, meat, and dessert. We spent three glorious hours eating, chatting and sipping wine. Thanks to Sandy for putting together this great event!

Tea-licious

It's Tea Time!! Kathie has scheduled our August event to be a traditional tea at Manteca's new Tea-licious!! Reservations are for 1pm on August 23rd. The cost is $12.95 and that includes soup, salad, 3 mini scones, 3 mini sandwiches, and 3 little desserts - tea of course (iced or hot). If we can get a head count that would be great so Kathie can call the shop a day or two ahead of time to let them know. The address is 311 W. Yosemite.

Suspects Dinner Theater

"Comedy, suspense, mystery, fun, good food, and audience participation are all rolled into one hilarious evening at Suspects Dinner Theater!" Thanks to Terri, we had a hysterical evening on the Delta King River Boat in Old Town Sacramento! Little did we know the two young girls sitting at our table were in on the plot. Our early suspicions of Mr. and Mrs. Sherlock only distracted us from the true conspirators. Our host kept us laughing and truly entertained throughout the evening!

Goddesses Go Golfing!

The Goddesses spent a quiet Sunday morning taking a golf lesson at Ripon Golf Course. Following the lesson, we met our families for a BBQ and swim. Thank you Citrea for planning such a great event!

Wine Making April 18th

We will be making our own wine on Friday, April 18th from 6-8pm at the "Vinter's Cellar" located behind In-and-Out Burger in Manteca. We will be having a "Batch Party" - where we'll sample several wines and then choose two to make! Appetizers will be provided by Lisa. The cost will be based on the number of people attending and the wines we choose to make. For the two wines - it could range from $20-$30 (total for both) per person.

In addition, we get the option of our own label for our wine...there's a small fee as well. It could be a photo which we could take that night, or artwork, possibly Pam's design. It would be placed on the bottles which would be ready about 6 weeks after our event.

Comedy Night

Thanks to Lisa for a wonderful evening in Old Town Sacramento! We started our evening enjoying a good Mexican meal at La Terraza. Then, the comedy of Bruce Fine and a truly hysterical opening act, had us laughing our *#@!? off!

Pottery Night

Our Second Adventure

Here we go on our second adventure as the Club of Goddesses!

Please meet at 6pm at Pam's house (see email for address) on Feb 29th for an evening of Pottery Painting!

We will each be charged a $7.00 sitting fee and then it is up to each one of you what project you would like to finish. The price for the projects ranges from $5 to $50.00. So you could walk out with only spending $12 or spending $57.00!

Our hostess Pam will be providing some munchies and Wine during our painting and then we can opt for going for some dessert after at a local restaurant.

The First Adventure of the the Goddesses!

Here is the confirmed agenda for our day in
San Francisco:

Saturday, January 26, 2008:
Nordstrom located: 865 Market Street (between 5th and Market). Store number is: (415) 243-8500.

8:00am - Meet at Victoria's home - Carpool to BART.

10:00am: Arrive Personal Touch department on level three. Personal Touch is located on level three right next to Lingerie.

10:05am - 10:15am: Introductions and Welcomes. Feel free to help yourselves to complimentary refreshments upon your arrival. Also, complimentary "goodie bags" will be waiting for the ladies upon arrival.

10:15am - 10:45am: Kris Kuettel and the Personal Touch staff will give a brief fashion presentation of the current fashions of the season. Also, a cosmetic representative will be available to speak and book appointments throughout the day as well.

10:45am - 12:30pm: Shopping with your assigned shoppers. The Personal Touch staff will call several days prior to confirm the appointments and go over needs with the ladies. A room will be available for the ladies. Each room will be reserved for each party. Two per room.

12:30pm - 1:30pm: Lunch at the "Bistro" restaurant located on level four. Reservations confirmed from 12:30 - 1:30pm.

1:30pm - 2:30pm: Shopping with Personal Touch.

2:30pm: Save all your receipts and we will enter them into the drawing.
